The commune is committed! Making La Croix Valmer a responsible destination is an obvious choice, given its environment and economy.
- Engagements :
- To obtain the ‘Pavillon Bleu’ and ‘Qualité des eaux de baignade’ labels in recognition of the town’s commitment to maintaining a high-quality environment.
- Enhancing and preserving biodiversity, water and natural resources through a commitment to ‘zero plastic waste’ and the creation of an Atlas of Communal Biodiversity (inventories, studies and inventories of fauna and flora species in the commune, etc.).
- Promoting the ruins of the Roman villa Pardigon II through visits.
- Encourage sustainable consumption by promoting local products through the ‘Esprit Parc National’ brand.
- Make our region sustainable by continuing to develop it, in particular by renovating the public lighting to make it more environmentally friendly.
- Promote eco-citizenship, health and social cohesion by raising public awareness of environmental protection issues (campaign against cigarette butts, incentives for selective sorting, exchanges with elected representatives, etc.).
- Eco-events, some dates in the diary :
Eco-citizen’s day: Every year, on the first Sunday in May, the Environment Department organises an eco-citizen’s day to promote respect for and maintenance of the local environment. Families, adults, municipal staff, tourists and associations come together to clean up the beaches and natural areas of the commune.
Le Poisson Glouton (The Gluttonous Fish): Sculpture representing the rubbish collected by the Municipal Technical Centre’s staff during the summer, on D-Day beach.
Sustainable Development Day: Awareness-raising day on D-Day beach for a cause close to our hearts.
- Zero Plastic Waste Charter :

- Bulky goods management
Bulky waste is bulky waste from domestic use. There are two ways of getting rid of it. You can drop it off at one of the 11 waste collection centres and 2 green waste platforms in the Gulf, which are available to private individuals and businesses (call 04 94 96 06 68 before coming – some are temporarily closed for renovation work and the types of waste and quantities taken vary from centre to centre). Contact Allo Encombrants on +33 (0)800 732 122 to arrange collection.
- Textile collection
Le Relais’ columns have been set up in the commune to enable residents to dispose of their used textiles: in the school car park on rue Frédéric Mistral, in the Train des Pignes car park (under the village hall), opposite the Total Access petrol station on boulevard de Saint-Raphaël, in the Sylvabelle and stadium car parks.
